Rule: What is a Transitive Verb ?

A Transitive verb requires an Object in the form of a


Noun or Pronoun to complete its meaning.
Transitive verbs are used with Direct Objects.

Example : My friends saw the accident.

Rule: What is an Intransitive verb?

Intransitive verbs are Action verbs the


same as Transitive verbs, but they do not
require a Direct Object.
