An online assessment may be defined

as an evaluation of a person’s abilities,
behaviors and/or characteristics that
conducted over the internet by using
available web technologies.
Online assessment or E-assessment
involves the use of digital devices to
assist in the construction, delivery,
storage or reporting of student
assessment tasks, responses, grades or
feedback.
