PLANNING A SHOOT

Before my shoot I have investigated the work of Brian McCarty photography work. I will link my photography work
with his by using little figures in my photo and I'm going to do a bin on fire with a newspaper running away from it.
What I really liked about the work is that its basted of true events of what have happened across the world. For this
shoot I would like to try to capture the bin on fire and try and show the global warming. The idea behind the shoot is
a dumpster on fire behind a house. I will need to use Lego and some little pieces of rubbish. I'm going to locate my
shoot by a wall outside the school. I plan to take my phot by a dark place by walls because that’s where a dumpster
normally is. I wont need additional light. For my shoot I will need Lego figures and some rubbish and some fake
fire my models wont be wearing anything. For my shoot I will be using aperture because I want the back to be out of
focus.
ARTIST INVESTIGATION

• The name of the artist is Brian McCarty. He is from Athens, Georgia in united
states. The name of the series is war toys. This is the photo I'm most interested
in because it’s a easy photo to look at and know what's going on. This photo
shows a dumpster on fire and this shows global warming. The main focus of
this photo is the bin on fire because they have bright colures. I like its based
on a true story and the different colures of this image. I think this composition
are the rule of thirds. They have used lighting by probably putting a tee light
behind the bin the make it look like a real fire and the street lights. They have
focus the camera on the bin but have the street in the back ground as well so
you can see everything in the photo. The aperture settings they have used is
good.
