ROOM 3 : MEDICATION AREA
 SCENARIO # 1
 You are assigned at ER-Medicine Area. While you are checking the
completeness of your E-Cart, Patient Y arrived with a chief complaint
of dizziness. VS as follows: T- 38.9; PR- 90bpm, RR-24 cpm; BP-
180/100 mmHg
Nursing Care/Treatment/Management
1. dizziness: position the client In a comfortable position,
keep side rails up because of the risk for falling/injuries.
2. for temperature: perform tepid sponge bath and
administer medications as ordered.
3. for rr: Position the client at semi fowlers- fowlers
position (this promotes lung expansion.)
4. instruct the client/ patient to restrict any strenuous
movements and monitor bp.
5. for temperature: instruct client to wear cool breathable
clothes.

Clonidine 75 mcg 1 tab SL now
Paracetamol 300 mg/amp 1 ampule IM now
(Paracetamol 150mg/ml in 2 ml ampule)

Stock dose? = 300MG

Syringe- size?= 3CC SYRINGE
Route: IM
Muscle:DELTOIDS
Doctor’s Order
IVF: PNSS 1 L x 8 hrs
(macroset: 20 gtts/ml) RATE= 42 GTTS/MIN
Paracetamol 300mg IV push now then
300 mg IV q 6 hours RTC; ML TO GIVE= 2ML
Clonidine 150 mcg/tab, 1 tab now= SL (route)
Start Nicardepine Drip : PNSS 1L : Soluset 90 cc + 1
ampule Nicardepine (1mg/ml in 10 ml ampule) x 3
mg/hr; RATE = 30 cc/hr or 30 gtts/min
