that either it was at the end of age eleven, or when he started thinking rationally about
the existence of Hell and Heaven.

2. What made the poet doubt the existence of Hell and Heaven? Ans: The fact that
there was no existence of Heaven and Hell, made the poet doubt their existence.

3. Give the significance of the exclamation mark at the end of the extract. Ans: The
exclamation mark indicates the surprise of the poet at his own realisation about the
beginning of his adulthood.
