Queen Victoria died at the age of 82 due to
cerebrovascular hemorrhage.
People mourned as they saw her as their idol.
As her son, King Edward VII steps in as their ruler,
they worried that his personal life may carry into the
public domain.
However, he died only nine years after being a king
due to heart attack.

major Europeans countries, leading the group called
Entente Cordiale.
Because of this, he earned the title of Edward the
Peacemaker.
With him died the peace, power, and privilege of the
people.

George V - son of King Edward VII - took it as threat
and declared war.
Britain, France and Russia joined against Germany,
Austro-Hungary, and Turkey.
It only ended as they made Germany sign the Treaty
of Versailles.

In 1933, Adolph Hitler, head of the National Socialist


German Labor Party or “Nazi” became the chancellor
of Germany on a platform of rabid nationalism and
vengeance.
He conquered with his Blitzkrieg or Lightning war.
When he invaded Poland, Britain and France declared
war. Thus, the World War II began.

In 1941, London was destroyed and 60,000 civilians died.


Winston Churchill, head of the Cabinet joined forces with
US President Roosevelt to end the war.
On June 6, 1944, US and Britain Forces landed in
Normandy, France.
After a year, Germany surrendered and Hitler with his
wife committed suicide.
