 eXRt Intelligent Healthcare Systems is a UK based organization led by Dr Dominic Holmes and Dr
Darryl Charles, that specializes in using Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence to create assistive
healthcare technology.
 Area of interest: stroke survivors where it was identified that Post-hospitalization physiotherapy treatments
are difficult to come by for stroke sufferers because of low levels of commitment and motivation
 Consequence of which was significant growth in hospitalization remittance, social isolation, a greater
financial strain on caregivers, and a higher financial burden on the government.
 The company's primary product is 'The Magic Glass’, which is a virtual reality system for connected
health, and is intended to be used for upper limb stroke rehabilitation.
 Alongside this 'Magic Glass', the researchers have developed several other physiotherapy games and a
bespoke intelligent system with a customized user interface that offers appropriate engagement levels
based on the person's motor abilities.
