What should the Government do?
• Building trust among Indonesian people in search of prosperity:
• Boost the state income through State Owned Company (BUMN) and taxes in order to provide public excellent
services (more in education) which is operated in a good manner (transparency, accountable, good governance,
reliable)
• Provide job vacancy with appropriate salary policy, which no big difference among the other ASEAN workers
because the increasing purchasing power of the workers could increase the domestic consumption (GDP??)
• More promotion on Indonesian tourism.
• Prevent and eliminate corruption.
• Balancing the commodity price by adjusting imported product.
• Invite and create more investors (employers) in Indonesia with some encouragement:
• Transparency and good governance in bureaucracy (license and permit)
• Build infrastructures and develop transportation in a good way (predictable and reliable) to fasten and
connected product and services from any area across the country.
• Stabilization of National Security.
• Clarity of regulation (incl. tax policy)
• Do not attract investors with low wages policy to the workers, which could weaken the worker’s
purchasing power and significantly increase the gini index (measurement of the income distribution
of a country's residents)
