Truss Bridge

I was a little nervous to do anything with drawing. It has been a long time since I have
used any kind of draw program. I know that this project would have taken my wife, a
graphic designer, only a few minutes. I found it a bit challenging. I found it difficult to
replicate what I had done in the beginning. I figured out, about halfway through how
to make shapes and in the future will start with those, the triangles were equal and
very easy to make straight lines through. I made a few of my own, which I am sure
are not as equal. I played around a little with text boxes, colorfill and shapes. I am
also learning just the software in general as I had a bit of a scare when I couldn’t
locate my file.

foster independent learning and accommodate learner differences and needs.

I think this was a very good place to start and will be helpful for future drawing
activities. I think these would be great lessons for students. It’s a easy way to
incorporate geometry, art and creativity. I think the students will be surprised to see
that everyone is going to have completely different bridges at the end of the
assignment. This could be a good project to have the students map out there designs
and then to build them in real life, with toothpicks, string, popsicle sticks, etc.
