Dream House

After doing the school project I thought the dream house would be a breeze. I was
wrong, I found this one to be the hardest of the three. Again I had issues with the text
boxes but many I had issues with the walls. After I had started I wanted to expand but
then found that I had new walls rather otherwise I didn’t know how to decrease the
thickness of the walls in only a few places. I feel that I have come a long way from the
bridge but my dream house turned into more of regular house. I finally got the cut and
paste down and perfected making shapes the same size.

While I found this assignment to be a bit challenging I think it is an excellent project for
students. It is a great way to learn about space, geometry and scale as well as use
their imagination. I think it would be fun to incorporate into a group project. I think it
would be good to do it as a drawing first. And then with drawings attempt it on the
computer. My daughter watched me do some of it and she just wanted furniture, so
for younger students I think adding in furniture, or even having them make it into a 3
dimensional model would be a great idea.
