ABOUT DANCE
The earliest findings have pinpointed the origins of ancient dances in
9000-year-old India or 5300-year-old Egypt, but the records more
common infusion of dance into a modern culture can be found from
Ancient Greece, China, and India.
HIP HOP DANCE
Hip-hop dance refers to street dance styles primarily
performed to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part
of hip-hop culture. It includes a wide range of styles primarily
breaking which was created in the 1970s and made popular
by dance crews in the United States.
BHARATANATYAM DANCE
Bharatanatyam. Bharatanatyam is a dance of Tamil Nadu in southern
India. It traces its origins back to the Natyashastra, an ancient treatise
on theatre written by the mythic priest Bharata. Originally a
temple dance for women, Bharatanatyam often is used to express
Hindu religious stories and devotions.
KUCHIPUDI DANCE
Kichipudi is a dance-drama performance, with its roots in the ancient
Hindu Sanskrit text of Natty Shastra. It developed as a religious art
linked to traveling bards, temples and spiritual beliefs, like all major
classical dances of India. The Kuchipudi performance usually begins
with an Invocation .
