DIGESTIVE SYSTEM OF

GASTROPOD
- The digestive system of gastropod ( slugs and snails o
f every kind ) has evolved to suit almost every kind of
diet and feeding behavior.

e of the pharynx ) and salivary glands and salivary ducts.
- When animals feed, it pumps blood to proboscis, infla
ting it and pushing it out through opening grasp gastropod
prey.
- A set of retractor muscle help pull the proboscis back i
nside the sheath once feeding is completed.
👉 Oesophagus
- it will connects to the stomach. Oesophagus usual
ly passes around the stomach and it's open to posterior
portion, furthest from mouth.

simple sac, and is the main sit of digestion. It is adapte
d to a gizzard that helps to grind up the food.
👉 Digestive gland
- Also known as hepatopancreas.
- is the largest organ in stylommatophpran gastro
pod. It produces enzymes, and absorb stores nutrient
s.

👉 Intestine
