#265: “From Surviving to Thriving”
Jeremiah 30:19 MSG
Taste and see that the LORD is
good; blessed (happy, fortunate, to
be envied upon) is the one who
takes refuge in Him.
Psalm 34:8
-------

It’s not just a concept, it is a reality

for us to experience and enjoy.
-------

God’s goodness, if experienced

first, will bring us to victory.
Under the OT you have to repent
before you see God’s goodness.
-------
Under grace, God’s goodness
comes first and will lead us to
repentance.
(Romans 2:4)
-------

God is literally inviting us by

saying “Take as much as you can.”
(Romans 5:17)
Do not let the cares and challenges
of the world drown you.
-------
God understands the pressure on
you to have your life all together.
-------
He knows that comparison comes
knocking at you making you feel
like you are not achieving as much
as everyone else and that you are
being left behind.
You heavenly Father does not just
understand, but He also cares
for you deeply.
(1 Peter 5:7)
-------

He loves you, and He wants you to

know He has set you apart from
the world to be an overcomer,
even in these seemingly
impossible times.
(Romans 8:37)
Did you know that you were made to
thrive and flourish in life?
(Jeremiah 30:19 MSG)
-------

Did you know that as a child of God,

that statement is irrevocably
(unchangeably) true?
-------

This is absolutely true on days you

feel like it is and even on the
days that you don’t.
Let the word of Christ have its home
[in your hearts and minds] and dwell
in you in [all its] richness, as you
teach, and counsel, and train one
another in all insight, and wisdom [in
spiritual things], and intelligence, and
as you sing psalms and hymns and
spiritual songs, making melody to
God with [His] grace in your hearts.
Colossians 3:16 AMPC
Let God’s Word be always on our
lips; meditate on it day and night,
so that we may be careful to do
everything written in it. Then we
will be prosperous and successful.
(Joshua 1:8)
-------
God wants you to know that His
heart is for you to go from barely
surviving to actually thriving.
God wants you to learn how you
can experience this reality when
you receive His love and walk in
His ways of faith.
-------
And it is by faith in His grace that
you are fortified with resilience ,
perseverance, and strength to face
the setbacks and challenges that
come your way.
It is by faith in the cross that you
possess every promise in Scripture
—His favor, His blessing, and His
success in your life.
-------
God wants you to know that while
you might be faced with
overwhelming challenges in an
atmosphere of anxiety and cynicism,
that’s exactly where faith lives.
“I believe, help my unbelief.”
Mark 9:24
-------

The believer knows that his faith

and obedience are always deficient.
-------

If left to our own strength and our

own faith, we would never make it.
-------

This is why we frequently ask God

to enable us to live the life that He
pleases by His grace through faith.
God is the faith giver.
(Hebrews 11:6)
-------

He gives you faith to confront fear,

faith to confront hopelessness,
faith to confront unbelief.
-------

When we doubt, we can ask for

more faith, and when we are
wavering in our resolve to follow,
we can ask for more resolve.
When we are unwilling to obey, we
can ask God to be made willing.
-------
Faith is there in the space between
barely surviving and actually
thriving, and it will take you from
one end to the other.
 -------
Unbeliever or professing Christian
has no interest in having more faith
or be made willing to obey.
Just like Caleb, God has called you
out and set you apart from the world
to be a man or woman of audacious,
authentic faith in the face of
adversity.
-------
Relevant and gritty issues may
blatantly confront you today,
endeavor to do but one thing — put
Jesus and His grace at the center
of it all.
