Meaning

 Teleological ethics, (teleological from Greek telos, “end”; logos,


“science”), theory of morality that derives duty or moral obligation from
what is good or desirable as an end to be achieved.
Definition

 The Teleological Ethical Theories are concerned with the


consequences of actions which means the basic standards for our
actions being morally right or wrong depends on the good or evil
generated.
Type of Teleological Ethics

1. Ethical Egoism
2. Utilitarianism
3. Eudalmonism
Conclusion
Teleological may be good for situations where
 There are a small number of factors to consider
 All factors can be judged on the same scale or according to one moral rule
 You only need to focus on the consequences of an action, not its motivation.
