Least Common multiple

Multiple of a number

• Is the result of multiplying a


number by an integer.
• Signs are going to be put up in both sides on a
street. If the engineer decides put up them
each 6 meters on the left and each 8 meters
on the right (see slide 10 in the annex.PPT),
when will they be in the same position? 
Examples

The smalest number that is the multiple of two or more other
numbers.

• The Greatest Common factor of two or more numbers is the greatest of the
common divisors.
• Imagine we are scientists and we just created some spacecrafts. The
boss comes say us that we have to send those spacecrafts with 360
batteries A and 588 batteries B and we have the next conditions:
• 1. Tha spacecrfts have to carry the same number of batteries.
• 2. A space craft only can carry one type of batteries.
• 3. We need use the least number of spacecrafts.
