 Factors – one or more numbers to be multiplied together to get
the answer.
 Multiple – a number that is the product of a given number and
some other number.
 Prime Numbers – these are the numbers that has exactly two
factors, 1 and the number itself.
 Composite Numbers – a number has at least one other factor
aside from its own. It cannot be a prime number.
 Prime Factors – all the factors of a quantity that are only
divisible by the number one and itself.
DEFINITION OF TERMS
 Greatest Common Factor (GCF) – the largest number
common to each set of factors that divides both numbers
exactly.
 Least Common Multiple (LCM) – a number that is
common to two or more numbers and which has the least
value.
