What is Shopping? We can define shopping as an activity where a
consumer browses through different goods or services
offered by the retailers.Shopping helps in obtaining
and satisfying our needs and essentials.

In a nutshell shopping process involves:

● Product awareness
● Information search
● Product trial
● Transaction
● Distribution
● Return

Consumer habits have changed during the Covid-
Behavior due to 19.People are more concerned about health,
COVID-19 safety and finances. They are now shopping
locally, mindfully and digitally.

Some of the changes in shopping habits are:

● Shopping more health consciously


● Shopping more cost consciously
● Making more sustainable choices
● Shopping closer neighbourhood stores
● Doing larger shops(to avoid frequent visits)
● Limiting wastage
● Sticking to trusted brands
● Growing love of local retailers and products

● Understanding the consumer’s buying behaviour towards shopping


during pre-covid and post-covid.
● Understanding the influence of the pandemic on the shopping behaviour
of different age groups.
● Analyzing the trend in consumer’s expenditure during pre-covid and post-

the majority of their monthly shopping
expenses have been increased.
Conclusion

● The current analysis shows that customer purchasing behaviour has


shifted dramatically from shopping malls and physical retailers to E-
commerce.

● The expenditure trend is largely noticed in teenagers to middle aged


groups from pre-covid to post-covid time, and the expenditure pattern
is also raised by 50%.
