Week 1 Objectives At the end of this lesson, the students would be able to:
Study the characteristics of life .
Study the living things. Study the difference between living and non- livingthings. What is the fuel for life? All living things need to make or take in food for fuel. This fuel gives them the energy they need to live. Fuel Animals can not make their own food. Plants do not need to eat food. Some plants trap and digest animals. Respiration Living organisms respire to get energy to break down their food. They produce carbon dioxide and water as waste products. Carbon dioxide: It is a poisonous gas. It turns limewater cloudy. Sensing the worlds around you : All living organisms need to know if the world around them changes. Homework: How can you test for the presence of carbon dioxide that is made during respiration.
