GUIDING PRINCIPLES
◦ These refer to the procedure, meth­ods of
instruction or agglomerations of techniques by
which the pupil and the teacher may work
toward the accomplishment of the goals or
objectives of education.
METHOD OF TEACHING

◦The method of teaching involves the activities of the teacher


and the pupils.
◦The method is the means of stimulating, directing, guiding,
and encouraging individual or class activities.
◦The method of teaching involves the application of many
laws and principles.
◦True principles of teaching, then, must explain teaching
processes.
STIMULATING
• Visuals throughout the classroom
• Hands-on activities with physical
movement
• Multi-modal means of learning
each new concept
DIRECTING
◦ Directing refers to a process or
technique of instructing, inspiring,
counselling, overseeing and leading
people towards the accomplishment
of organizational goals. 
GUIDING
◦ The teacher provides guidance and
advice to help a student complete a task
that they could not do on their own.
ENCOURAGING INDIVIDUAL OR
CLASS ACTIVITIES
 Be respectful.
 Speak loud enough so everyone can hear.
 Listen to classmates.
 Don't interrupt who is speaking.
 Build on your classmate's comments with your
comments.
 Use participation to not only answer questions
but to seek help or ask for clarification.
