TOOLS TO MANAGE A DIVERSE WORKFORCE

Objectives Learn history of adding Inclusion as a key.

• Manage and recognize a diverse workforce.

Improve interpersonal connections between your

cast and fellow leaders of all levels.
The 5 Keys
Why add Inclusion?

"The 5 Keys – with Inclusion at the heart – will continue to guide us as we

interact with guests, collaborate together, create the next generation of
Disney products and experiences, and make critical decisions about the
future of our business."
- JOSH D'AMARO, CHAIRMAN,
DISNEY PARKS, EXPERIENCES AND
PRODUCTS
Managing a Diverse Cast:

• Differences can improve problem-solving, and promote innovation.

• Diversity in language can help your Cast easily connect with varying

guests and uphold the remaining 4 Keys.

• Share mission, vision, and goals with your Cast Members regularly

and ask for feedback regarding your location.

What to avoid:

• Falling into stereotypes.

• Treating employees differently due to being part of specific groups

(race, gender, ethnic, etc.)

• Exaggerate your interest for diversity so it becomes disingenuous.

Your Role • Support your Cast Members, make them

feel heard, celebrated, and safe.

• Learn about what drives them, why they are

working in your location, and what goals

they have.

“We’ll never stop working to make sure that Disney is

a welcoming place for all.”
-Josh D’Amaro
