• Rehabilitation engineering :
• The application of science and technology to
improving the quality of life of people with
disabilities.
• Assistive technology:
• Products, devices or equipment that are used to
maintain, increase or improve the functional
capabilities of individuals with disabilities
Such devices can range from “low”-
technology devices that are inexpensive
and simple to make, to “high”- technology
devices that are complex and expensive
to fabricate
