Cyber security

It’smore important than ever to

protect ourselves and our businesses
online these days. Cyber attacks can
happen right under our nose, and with
more and more of our details online, it
can be hard to keep track of all of the
private information we store on the
internet.
Definition :

 Cyber security, or electronic information

security, protects computers, mobile
devices, networks, servers, and data from
external attacks. It serves as a security gate
to make sure that your information and
what you store on your devices isn’t
hackable by outside threats.
Categories of cyber security
 1. Cloud Security
 Cloud-based data storage
has become a popular option
over the last decade due to
its enhanced privacy.
However, even though cloud
storage is more secure, you
should still protect it with a
software program that
monitors activities and can
alert you if anything
suspicious happens with your
cloud accounts.
 2. Network Security

 Guard your internal network against outside

threats with increased network security.
Common examples of network security
include antivirus programs, firewalls,
antispyware programs, and monitored
internet access.
To keep your network safe, it’s also crucial to
have extra logins and secure passwords that
you reset periodically.
 3. Application Security
 Protect the data you store on the applications
you use to run your business. Since
applications are more accessible over various
networks, they’re especially open to
cyberattacks.
You can protect applications with cybersec
antivirus programs, firewalls, and encryption
services.
Types pf cyber threats

 1. Cybercrime includes single actors or

groups targeting systems for financial gain or
to cause disruption.
 2. Cyber-attack often involves politically
motivated information gathering.
 3. Cyberterrorism is intended to undermine
electronic systems to cause panic or fear.
