A PRESENTATION ON :–
“ ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR”.

PRESENTED BY :-
SURAJ DEBNATH (002)
INTRODUCTION
 The story is about an employee named, Tony Stark and his
differential behavioural concept between his past and present
companies named- O’ Grady Company and Reece Enterprises.
 At O’ Grady company, Tony had worked for 10 years and he was
the part of this company from the very 1st day where he had grown
himself greatly as a person and his work was appreciated and
recognised. Moreover, he received three promotions and many pay
increases.
 The firm was decentralised which allows freedom and autonomy to
its managers and the communication between the employees and
managers were very easy and friendly.
 Tony and three other managers often went for lunch and played golf
every Saturday. They made a good bonding both personally and
professionally and truly worked together as a team. The boss of the
company was very supportive and helped them in every field.
 But due to the shutdown of O’ Grady company, Tony was very much
upset and after few weeks he got an offer from Reece Enterprise where
he got comparably a good position. But he found the environment and
the working culture were far different from his past company.
 At Reece, top managers didn’t worry much about who did a good job or
who didn’t. They promote and reward employees on the basis of
working year and the never-ending political games.
 Though Reece was a bigger organisation compared to O’ Grady but no
one was allowed to make any decision without getting three signatures
from higher levels which was very hard to get.
 The top managers were too busy and were not very friendly and his
colleagues treated him with polite indifference and behaves like an
outsider.
 One day, he had asked his two colleagues about playing golf but they
had politely declined, as they didn't play often. But after a week, he
heard them making arrangements to play very Saturday. So, Tony
decided to go for fishing alone and he started thinking whether he had
made a mistake in accepting the Reece offer without knowing much
about the company.
IDENTIFICATION OF PROBLEMS
According to me, the major problem behind this situation of Tony Stark
are as follows:-
1. Human’s State of Mind:- Tony worked in O’ Grady for ten years and
the type of wok culture he got and became habituated with it. So he
wants the same work culture and environment in Reece to cope with..
2. Lack of Communication :- The top managers were very busy within
themselves that they didn’t have time to communicate with the
employees. Moreover, the communication gap between Tony and his
colleagues and the indifference behaviour of the employees towards a
Tony by making him feel as an outsider.
3. Never-Ending Political Games :- In every company there were some
politics. At Reece, top managers didn’t appreciate the hard workers,
even they didn’t care about who did a work and who didn’t. Only they
were promoted based on the working years and connections with the
top levels.
SOLUTIONS
According to me, the Probable Solution to Overcome the problems are as
follows :-
 Tony should cope up with the work culture and the environment of the
Reece Enterprise as we all know that there might have some difference
between the two companies and their work culture.
 Top level managers and employees should work together in a team and
there should be no communication gap between them. They should look
after the benefits and interests of the employees.
 The Employees should not treat any new comer as an outsider and all
should work in a team by maintaining a friendly work culture.
 All employees should be promoted and recognised by his or her hard
work and dedication instead of Politics and connections.
 The Company should arrange yearly picnics or tours for all its
employees to motivate them and to feel them fresh and happy.
