RECRUITMENT
The first important operative function of HRM is the
employment of proper manpower who can help the org. to
achieve the required objectives. It is the function of people
management within an organization.HR is responsible for
facilitating the overall goals of the organization through
effective administration of human capital — focusing on
employees as the company's most important asset.
Induction & Orientation
Induction means introduction of a new employee to the
job and the organization. It is the process of receiving and
welcoming an employee when he first joins a company and
giving him the basic information whereas Orientation stands
for getting him familiar with office premises and staff members.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

It is the process of developing employee’s technical skills for


the job, they have been hired as well as develop them for higher
jobs within the organization . This helps in both the employee’s
and employer’s growth.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This function is related to determine accurate remuneration of
the employees towards their contribution in the org.
Compensation and benefits refers to the
compensation/salary and other monetary and non-monetary
benefits passed on by the org. its employees. It helps to keep the
employees motivated and brings the best out of them at
workplace.
MOTIVATION
Motivation is an important function because if
the employees are not motivated they don’t
contribute towards organization’s goals as much as
they can.
PERSONAL RECORDS
Personnel records provide informa­tion about the
position of HR in the organization e.g. – records
relating to training, performance, wages & salary,
productivity, job satisfaction, employee welfare etc.
MAINTENANCE (Safety & Welfare)
The main objective of this function is to do such HRM activities that maintain
employees commitment and loyalty with the organization. For maintaining the
people, HRM should go for some method for providing a safe and healthy work
place, labor relation and collective bargaining.

Industrial relations
It is the complex interrelations among managers, workers and agencies
of the governments. The healthy industrial relations are key to the
progress and success.
