 The average salary increment in India is expected to be 8.6%


according to the Workforce and Increments Trends Survey by
Deloitte.

 The second phase of the survey provides India-specific insights


on rewards, the impact of Covid-19 on benefits policies, and the
return to work strategies of organizations.

 According to the survey findings, 92 per cent of companies gave


an average salary increment of 8 per cent in 2021, compared with
only 4.4 per cent in 2020, where just 60 per cent companies had
extended a pay hike.

 If this holds true, increments in 2022 would reach the pre-


pandemic levels of 2019, the report said.
