TO FORM A PASSIVE SENTENCE :

1.CHANGE THE OBJECT FROM THE
ACTIVE SENTENCE INTO SUBJECT

MY FATHER WASHES THE CAR EVERY SUNDAY.

The car is washed by my father every sunday

 Rumus dasar passive (s present)

WASHES IS WASHED

simple Present tobe + V3 (Dicuci)

v1 (Mencuci)
 Rumus dasar passive (simple past)

My father washed the car yesterday (active)

The car was washed by my father yesterday (Passive)

3. THE SUBJECT of the active sentence, becomes DOER of the
action in the passive sentence.The doer is introduced with “BY” if it’s
important,or it’s ommited if it’s unknown, unimportant, or obvious.

SUBJECT DOER

My father washes the car every Sunday.

The car is washed every Sunday by my father

USE OF THE PASSIVE:

-WE USE PASSIVE WHEN WE ARE NOT

INTERESTED IN WHO OR WHAT CAUSES
SOMETHING TO HAPPEN.
