Bias- is an inclination toward one way of

thinking, often based on how you were


raised.
Prejudice- refers to a preconceived opinion
or feeling towards a person based solely on
their affiliation with a group.
Discrimination- comes into play when one
starts acting upon a prejudice they possess
regarding a certain group of people.

conquer societal problem. (because of affirmative
action programs, people of color and women now enjoy
economic and political equality superior over white
males) (the notion that technology will resolve
persistent social problems)
Linguistic Bias: Word Count.
- language can be a powerful conveyor of bias, in
both blatant and subtle forms. (the word forefather,
mankind, businessman, and he/his serve to deny the
contribution of females.
