ADJECTIVES


An adjective describes a noun or a pronoun.

Example:
- a happy girl - a young man - the big house
- a tired lady - a pretty giry - the sweet candy
- seven children - an old man - an empty chair

We can remember the correct order by
using a mnemonic Q. Op. SASh. COMP

 Quantity : Q
 Opinion : Op
 Size : S
 Age : A
 Shape : Sh
 Color : C
 Origin : O
 Material : M
 Purpose : P
Example….

By using Q, Op, SASh, COMP we can determine that


the correct order is…..
(Pretty, Long, Yellow)

So the sentence must be “The woman is wearing a


pretty, long, yellow dress.”
