Some Key Points Of Book
This book was the first book in the series of Sherlock Holmes.
This book opened the gateway of the world of Sherlock
Holmes through the perspective of Dr. Watson to readers. This
book was very engaging, there were many plot twists which
were logical and enabled reader to view the situation through a
360° view but still an absolute conclusion of plot couldn’t be
figured out until the very end which was a totally new concept
during that time for a reader.
Background Of Story
Background of the story is shown in 1880’s era of London,
England. Many things in that era were very different from
what we have nowadays for example in those days cab were
not like nowadays cars but those were horse ridden carts
during those days those carts were referred as cabs. Readers
get a glimpse, lifestyle of people and various conditions of that
era of London in a crystal clear and simple way.
