Mission
The mission of Kickapoo High School is to facilitate a high level of
learning and performance to prepare all students for their futures in
a global society.
Vision
Kickapoo High School will be a nationally recognized and comprehensive high
school that:
· offers an engaging and rigorous curriculum.
· continually increases the use of the latest technology.
· promotes a highly competitive and wide-ranging array of MSHSAA-sponsored
and extra-curricular activities.
· develops mutually beneficial partnerships with students, parents, and community.
· maintains a safe and positive learning environment.
How to Embed Mission and Vision

● Increase club/activity involvement among underrepresented students


○ Teacher recommendation form
○ Club showcase at the beginning of the year and mid-year
● Increase sport participation
○ P.E. teacher and coach recommendation
○ Seek highly qualified coaches
● Student supervision
○ Add bathroom supervision
○ Maintain students in Commons before class until 7:20 instead of sending them to class
as they arrive

● PLCs for collaboration
○ To create engaging and streamlined curriculum
○ To add meaningful rigor to advanced classes
● Professional development
○ During late start, professional development to learn new and engaging technology
● Frequent parent communication
○ Weekly Newsletter from school
○ Reach out to families of failing students
● Community involvement
○ Blood drive
○ Coat donations
○ Adopt-a-family
Communicating Mission and Vision to Stakeholders
● Contact key members in the community, schedule times and places to meet, and
invite all to join. Be sure to do what you say.

● Meet and greet sessions with school-based stakeholders

● Connect with the community leaders and politicians
