cruelty, animal abuse, or animal
mistreatment, encompasses
behaviors that cause unnecessary
pain or stress to nonhuman animals.
They range from negligence in basic
care to torture, mutilation or
intentional death
Animal trade

◦ Wild animal trafficking

includes the legal and illegal
trade of wild animal species
and/or derived products.
Among the derived products,
some lead to the death of the
animal.
