Case Study 1:
● You are an emergency room physician at Wexner Medical Center in your
third year of residency. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic you know it is
important to utilize the ER only for emergencies to avoid unnecessary
exposures. However, you continually see the same patients come in and out
of the ER for non-emergent concerns. How do you address this?
Case Study 2:
● You are an attending primary care physician at Wexner Medical Center.
You’re growing frustrated with one of your patients who was recently
diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes because they have missed 3 consecutive
appointments. When they finally return they have not filled the medication
that you prescribed for their high blood pressure and have not made any
lifestyle adjustments.
