Ducks often choose parts of a garden where the vegetation provides them enough cover in
which to conceal the nest.

 When constructing her nest, a duck will line it with soft down feathers she plucks
from her own breast.

 This gives the eggs the best possible cushioning and insulation.

 Ducklings are covered with down and able to walk and leave the nest
just a few hours after hatching.
WEAVER BIRD
 The birds build their nests together for protection,
often several to a branch.
 The nests are woven with long strips of paddy leaves, rough
grasses and long strips torn from palm fronds.
 Usually the male birds weave the nests and use them as a form
of display to attract prospective females.
The weaver bird colonies may be found close to water bodies.
Male bird is known to make up to 500 trips to complete a nest.
