Prevalence of Dental Caries based on DMF-S Index in Two

Indonesian Communities with Different Radon Levels

Abstract
•Background: prevalence of dental caries based on DMF-S index in two Indonesian
communities with different radon level.
• Methodology: Observational method with a cross sectional approach.
•Result:Average value DMF-S Index in the Gunung Masigit Village on the surface: occlusal
4,96; mesial 3,92; buccal 3,92; distal 4,10 and palatal/lingual 3,82. Cipatat village on the
surface: occlusal 4,18; mesial 2,92; buccal 2,82; distal 3,04 and palatal / lingual 2,82.
• Conclussion: Average value DMF-S index in the Gunung Masigit Village more higher than
Cipatat Village and occlusal area is higher than other surfaces.
