• SAY + THAT: He said that Mary was studying for an important exam
• TELL + SB + THAT: They told me that she would give up smoking.
• ASK (SB) + QUESTION WORD: She asked (me) what time the film started.

 COMPLAIN + THAT: He complained that the boss was very intolerant.
 REPLY + THAT: She replied that she didn’t know the answer.
 AGREE + THAT: He agreed that she came with us to the pary.
 PROMISE + THAT: He promised that he wouldn’t tell my secret.

REMIND: He reminded me to be at hospital at 5:30.
ORDER: The teacher ordered us to be quiet.
WARN: He warned us not to speak loud.

DENY: He denied taking part in the robbery.
SUGGEST: She suggested organizing a surprise party for the anniverary.
ACCUSE SB OF: She accused me of stealing the money.
APOLOGISE FOR: He apologised for having talked her in a bad manner.
