Remarks
⮚ The CSO mapping exercise gave a lot of information (although for 100
CSOs no data on the type of relation -financial, formal, capacity support-
was provided)

⮚ Do the type of relations asked provide enough information? It might be

good to know which CSOs are networks/platforms and which ones are
individual organisations. Other topics of interest?

⮚ We have trained over 190 CSOs in 2018. However we do not know

whether they all increased their capacities.

⮚ 60 CSOs completed an online self-assessment over 2018. We cannot

track the same CSOs over time as only 6 CSOs completed the survey
last year and this year. How can we improve this? Other methods?

➔ Let’s have a look at the CSO database

➔ Your observations?
Policy tracker

● In 2018, we contributed to significant changes of 45 policies / budgets /

legal frameworks / regulations / by-laws etc.
● 33 were new, while 12 policies/budgets we already worked on in 2017
● Of these 45 cases, 15 cases concerned budgets

Observations

⮚ In general, the information on what we did to contribute to a policy and

its current status is rich. Combined with Outcome harvesting we have
much improved in describing how we achieve change.

⮚ Are we capable to also assess aspects of gender/inclusivity in policies?

Do we advocate for this, examples?

⮚ Do we have indications that the policies we influenced improve the

health system, which in its turn strengthens the right of citizens to the
highest attainable sexual reproductive health?

Your observations?
Outcome Harvesting
In total together we have harvested 227 outcomes so far. Wow!

➔ Let’s have a look at the OH logbook

Your reflections on the OH logbook
Your observations?

● What are your reflections on the logbook?

● Does/could the logbook help you to analyse your results?

Using the logbook

● Have you or do you plan to share the outcomes you have harvested at
context meetings?

● Who do/will you involve in harvesting outcomes internally?

● Will you also do outcome harvesting with CSOs / media / networks /

others?

➔ Next steps for Outcome Harvesting & validation

Outcome Harvesting - Next steps
Harvesting outcomes from 2019

Your PME lead will soon share the reporting pack for 1st bi-annual report

This will include the logbook/ a template for reporting on outcomes harvested

You choose how and who you involve in harvesting outcomes - holding discussions
with programme staff, CSOs as well as PME staff can help identify outcomes

Validating outcomes

Alongside bi-annual reporting, each partner will pick 3-5 outcomes of the most
relevant/significant outcomes from 2019 and provide evidence for them

This will help to streamline the outcomes and:

- showcase progress easily with the comms team

- share key outcomes with other contexts & external stakeholders
- lay the groundwork for the end evaluation
Closing questions
Any other questions / comments on the data - how to access it/use it
etc?

Bi-yearly reporting (Jan-June 2019)

● Bi-yearly work plan 2019 for reporting including an optional template for
the narrative
● Output indicator reporting
● An excel sheet to list knowledge products and request to nominate 1-3
latest knowledge products that are worth sharing outside the context
and/or with other partners
● Policy tracker update
● Outcome Harvesting logbook
