• Musikong Bumbong
literally meaning Bamboo
Music, is a Filipino musical
ensemble that perform with
woodwind instruments made
out of Bamboo.
Angklung Ensemble
• The Angklung Ensemble
is a unique group as the
group creates a harmony
of sounds through
different notes.
 Musical Instruments
Guitar – is a stringed
instrument which has frets
along the finger board
with six strings.
Harp – is a stringed
instrument believed to have
been brought in the
Philippines during the 16 th

century.
Violin – is a bowed four-
stringed instrument
believed to have been
brought to the country by
Catholic missionaries.
Banduria – is a small pear-
shaped instrument that
plays the main melody in
the rondalla.
Piano – is a keyboard
instrument considered as
the most versatile musical
instrument.
Bamboo organ – is a wind
instrument whose tones are
produced by air passing
through a set of pipes of
different lengths.
Conch shell horn – is a
wind instrument that is
used to signal or call
people to gather for
meetings or emergencies.
