FOREMOST DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITY
OF THE CHIEF MINISTER.

 HE/SHE ADVICES TO THE GOVERNOR IN

THE MATTERS OF ALLOCATION OF
PORTFOLIOS TO THE MINISTERS.

 HE/SHE ALSO RENDERS ADVICE TO THE
GOVERNOR IN DROPPING A MINISTER
FROM THE MINISTRY.
FUNCTIONS OF CM WITH RESPECT TO COUNCIL OF MINISTERS

Chief minister is the head and meeting of the

council of ministers is presided by him/her.
All activities of the ministers and controlled
by the Chief Minister.
If he resigns, the entire council of ministers
collapses.
These information comes under the ARTICLE 163 - The
governor is advised by the council of ministers which is
headed by the Chief Minister.

A state welfare is governed by the Chief Minister under

the guidance of council of ministers. Hence the
funcyions of CM plays a major role in the well being of
indian people.
