CORE ISSUES
• No family governance- Family constitution were not written by the
Mr.Agrwal and Mr.Goenka and there is no clear roadmap designed for the
future generation to define their roles and responsibilities in the company.
• Lack of professionalism- There is no proper measure taken to share the
responsibilities. In the company roles were given based on the trust,
goodwill, mutual bonding, understanding and equality between two families.
• Lack of clarity- Mr.Agrwal and Mr.Goenka lack clarity on choosing hirer for
company over multiple family generations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Company should hire an external advisor and form a clear family governance
to help the future generation to rule the business without any chaos.
• A collective decision should be taken in the family council to choose the
leader for the company with a mutual understanding.
• Both families should be given equal opportunity to be leaders of the business
in different roles based on their experience, skills, talent and interest.
• Proper inheritance documents should be made to show clear path for the
future generation.
