Battery:
 A two wheeler gets its electricity from
battery .the battery stores charge
maintains specified voltage and keeps
the electrical system working when the
engine switched off and no fresh
electricity is being generated.

 Primary battery
 Secondary battery
What is primary battery?

 A primary cell is a battery that is designed

to be used ones and discarded ,and not
reachared with electricity and we used like a
secondary cell(single use can not be
reached).

 Mercury batteries
 Silver oxide batteries
 Zink carbon batteries
What is secondary
battery?
 A rearchable battery or rearchable
battery is type of electrical battery
which can be charged and
discharged into a load , and
reached many times(more than This Photo by Unknown Author is licensed under CC BY-SA
one use).
Types of secondary
battery:

 Nickel hydrade(NIH)
 Nickel metal
hydrade(NIMH)
 Lithium ion
 Lead acid
Difference between lithium ion and lead acid
batteries:
 Voltage:
 Lithium-ion batteries maintain their volatage throught out entire discharge cycle.
 Lead acid voltage drops consistently throught out the discharge cycle.
 Cost:
 Despite the higher upfront cost of lithium-ion batteries,
the true cost of ownership is far less than lead acid when considering life span and perform.
 Environmental impact:
 Lithium-ion batteries are a much cleaner technology and safer for the environment.
General specifications of batteries:

 Specific density
 Specific power
 Energy density
 Lifecycle durability
 Cost
 safety
