What Is An Excel Pivot Table?
A pivot table is a table of statistics that
summarizes the data of a more extensive table.
 This summary might include sums, averages, or
other statistics, which the pivot table groups
together in a meaningful way.
 Pivot tables are a technique in data processing.
STEPS TO Insert pivot table
1) Click any single cell inside the data set
2) On the Insert tab, click PivotTable

Create PivotTable dialog

the data for you. The default location for
a new PivotTable is New Worksheet.
3) Click OK.
Advantages of pivot table
 They allow you to see how the data works.
 It can work with SQL exports.
 The data is easier to segment.
 You can create instant data.

Disadvantages of pivot table


 It can be a time-consuming venture.
There are no automatic updates.
Older computers can struggle to present data.
It takes time to learn them.
SUBTOTAL IN EXCEL
 A subtotal function is an inbuilt

function in excel.

 Subtotal will help out by


performing different arithmetic
operations

 Subtotal is versatile.
