FRICTION
 Friction is the force resisting the
relative motion of soild ,surfaces ,
fluid layers, and material elements
sliding against each other . There are
several types of friction: dry friction
resists relative lateral motion of two
solid surfaces in contact is called a
friction.
TYPES OF FRICTION
STATIC FRICTION
=The force of friction which does not
allow two surfaces to slide upon one
another is called the static friction.
SLIDING
FRICTION
The frictional force which opposes the
motion when an object slides over
another surfaces is called sliding
friction.
ROLLING FRICTION
 The frictional force which comes
into action when an object is
made to move over rollers or
wheels is called rolling friction.
ADVANTAGES OF FRICTION

 FRICTION IS USED FOR WALK.

 FRICTION IS USED FOR WRITE.
 FRICTION IS USED FOR STOP.
 FRICTION IS USED FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDING.
 THE LIGHTING OF MATCHSTICK IS
DUE TO THE FRICTION.
DISADVANTAGES OF FRICTION

 FRICTION PRODUCES NOISE IN

MACHINE.
 FRICTION LEADS WASTAGE OF
ENERGY.
 WEARING AND TEARING OF THE
MACHINE DUE TO FRICTION.
INCREASING OF FRITION
 SHOE SPIKES
 TREADED TYRES
 BRAKE PADS
 USING POWER
DECREASING OF FRICTION

 LUBRICANTS
 POLISHING
 STREAMLINING
 BALLBEARINGS
