WHAT IS A JOB?

• Job is a remunerated occupation performed by someone with


some specific qualification for such, involving the figure of the
boss and worker.

• This occupation can take place in both the public and private
sectors.

• One of the elements of the concept of job, therefore, is the


existence of who organizes the work, the employer, and who
does it for remuneration, the employee.
WHY IS HAVING A JOB SO IMPORTANT?

A job may be important for a sense of purpose since it can provide goals to work
toward each day and an income to support you financially. It can help you build skills
and experience that will last throughout your career, even if you change careers later
in life.

Here are a few other reasons having a job may be important:

• Socialization: Socializing can connect you with others, which can help you learn
more about the world by interacting with customers, clients or coworkers and feel
more connected to society.

• Skills: A job offers an opportunity to learn new skills such as customer service,
organization or public speaking.

• Wellness: Some jobs offer an opportunity to move our bodies throughout the day,
which may contribute to overall health.

On average, we spend around one-third of our lives at work. So it’s important to reflect on
the type of career, job, and industry that we would want to spend such a huge amount of
time in.

Many people struggle being unemployed after college. It’s important to remember that unemployment

One of the hardest parts of dealing with student loans and being unemployed after graduation is staying
positive. Having a negative outlook can affect your job search, and feeling down about your job
situation is something that potential employers can pick up on.

Working is very important in people's daily lives. To keep the balance between the personal and the professional side
is fundamental to lead a healthy, full and happy life.

The world of work is a process of personal construction, where each individual is always looking for a job that meets
his or her personal and academic characteristics.

To reach an objective, we must set a goal and make a plan, which may include choices during schooling. These choices
will make all the difference in the future.

Therefore, the moment of choosing a profession is often full of anguish and uncertainty for young people. The
absence of vocational guidance interferes directly with planning for the future.

Success is born from the will, determination, and persistence in reaching a goal.
