ALWAYS BE GRATEFUL OR
THANKFUL
March 8, 2021
(Tuesday @12:15 PM)
Gratitude or being thankful is not only
the greatest of all virtues, but the parent
of all others.
- by Cicero, Roman Philosopher
GOODNESS OF ONE’S HEART
Being thankful is a manifestation that a person is
appreciative of the many blessings he or she has received. Like
the generous man, it is a gift given out of the goodness of
one’s heart. To give a gift to others though, does not mean
that the giver should expect something in return.
The true happiness that one feels in thanking will inspire
him or her to be just selfless in being kind to other people.
Being grateful is not an innate trait, but a learned skill that
benefits all. It can be easily added to your other good traits.
WHY SHOULD WE SAY “THANK YOU”?
Gratitude is defined as the “state of being grateful or
thankful.” When one is grateful, he or she appreciates the
benefits or favors received.
Like “please” and “excuse me,” saying “thank you” is one
of the magic words taught by parents and teachers to children
at an early age. It is the foundation of a happy person. Saying
“thank you” will make you a better person.
Filipinos say “thank you” in different languages like the
following:
1.) Ilokano – agyamanak
