INTRODUCTION
DEMAND

• Demand is a phrase used by economists to describe the quantity of a commodity or

service that customers are willing and able to buy at a given price. Demand is based on
requirements and wants while a customer may be able to distinguish between the two, an
economist considers them to be the same thing. The capacity to pay is also a factor in
demand. You have no effective demand if you can't pay for it.
