EMERGENCY LIGHTING
The emergency lighting system is a part of the cabin lighting system. It is
integrated in the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS). If the
standard aircraft power supply is not available, the emergency lighting
system is able to operate independently from the aircraft systems for at

OPERATION
If smoke enters into the measuring chamber of
the detector a smoke warning signal is
transmitted to the Cabin Intercommunication
Data System (CIDS). The integrated Smoke
Detection Function (SDF) of the CIDS initiates

On the FAP (Flight Attendant Panel) or ‐
related AAP (Additional Attendant Panel) the
red SMOKE warning indication comes on
The amber call light, mounted on the ‐
outside wall of the lavatory, and the amber
