CORE BANKING SOLUTION

CBS stands for Core Banking Solution or Centralized banking solution.

CORE stands for “centralized online real-time exchange”.
Which means “online service provided through a centralized server”.
This basically means that all the bank’s branches access applications from centralized
server installed at data center.
The software accepted by different banks including our bank is Finacle which has been
developed by Infosys.
Finacle is designed with service-oriented-architecture(SOA) It is a multi channel, multi
currency & multi country enabled technology

 Captive User: These users can access the data belonging to his / her service outlet alone but can inquire on the accounts
belonging to other SOL.
 Free User: These users can access the data belonging to all service outlets. Accessing all menu options also depends on whether
the menu is free or not. Normally, in each branch two senior most officers are given “Free User

Scheme Type and a Scheme Code
There are 9 scheme types for opening
