10-year-old male confused and crying but directable and answering


questions. Denies LOC, No signs of head trauma.
I.TRIAGE
COLOR
The patient appears to be able to walk and should be placed in the GREEN
ZONED/NON-URGENT. The patient has less serious or minor injury and
non-life threatening, treatment may be delayed until the patients in other
categories have been dealt.
PRIORITY NURSING
DIAGNOSIS

·Acute pain related to injuring agents.

·Risk for seizures related to intracranial bleeding.

3 Acute confusion related to traumatic injury.

Prior to transfer:
- perform neurological exam

At the hospital:
- Allow patient to rest and avoid excessive physical activity
