STRENGTHENED IN GOD

OBJECTIVES

1. To know who I am in Christ.

2. To understand the spiritual forces at work in the ‘old

man’ (the old nature).

3. To start living a life clothed in the new nature.

4. To understand that the transformation of our lives

depends on the Grace and Power of God.
INTRODUCTION
 Who should we turn to in difficult moments of our lives?
David had to face all kinds of trials but, because of the internal
struggles he experienced in those times of trouble, he learnt
to place all his burdens in God’s hands. Every time he did this,
he came out stronger.
 Mistakes made from the past may make people feel wretched.
Guilt tries to enslave them by continuously pointing the
accusing finger.
INTRODUCTION
 David knew he needed to be free from his fears, so he
made prayer his constant refuge. He expresses this in one
of his poems: “I sought the Lord, and He answered me;
He delivered me from all my fears. Those who look at
Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with
shame”. (Psalms 34:4-5)
INTRODUCTION
 If the adversary brings thoughts of guilt and
condemnation, we must learn to declare that we are free
from the influence of the enemy by the Power of the
Blood of Jesus.
