SHORING
The temporary support of only that
part of a damaged, collapsed, or
partly collapsed structure that is
required for conducting search and
rescue operations at reduced risk to
the victims and the rescue team.

Used to stabilise a damaged
wall against another
undamaged wall in hallways ,
corridors or between
buildings.

A flying shore is used to brace a
damaged wall when a sound
adjacent wall can be used as a
means of support. These are the
horizontal beam, wall-plate and
struts. Other items necessary for
the erection of the flying shore are
cleats, wedges and straining pieces.

A triangular system of shoring
used to support leaning or
unstable walls or columns. Rakers
must always be installed in series;
at least two must be erected in
any given situation.

The main purpose of the T-Spot
Shore is to initially stabilise
damaged floor , ceilings or roofs.
This shore is quickly and only
temporary , also used during
quick extrication of a Victim.

as a safe heaven
